Brandi (Wilkins) Schall

After graduating from Pine View I spent the summer in Fort Collins, Colorado (my parents had moved there earlier that year) then I returned to St. George that fall to go to school. I became a Medical Assistant, then worked for DRMC as a receptionist at their Physical Therapy office. In 2002 I met my sweetie Anson Schall (from Tehachapi, California) and in 2003 we were married. We have three kids, Olivia Beulah (7), Elsa Pearl (5) and most recently, Peter Anson (10 months).

In 2007 Anson graduated from Dixie State College and we moved to Salt Lake City.  We live in a drafty old house in the Avenues neighborhood. Anson freelances as a web developer and I stay home with our kids. My interests/activities of late include  knitting, crocheting, embroidery, school-mom stuff, cooking (food in general), mid-century modern furniture, cycling, gardening, conservation, and always, books.

My favorite memories from High School are Mrs. Hazen's AP English class, Mr. Jones' ceramics class, Mrs. Bracken's Sports Marketing class. Burger Place. Those turkey sub sandwiches from the cafeteria. Working a billion jobs--Cold Stone, Kara Chocolates, Jamba Juice, etc... Layer Week with Janel Higham. Notes from friends. Going to Donnie Atkinson's house. Adventures with Darcee Barney and co. The hot springs with Alyson and Alison and co. And being friends with the upperclassmen (my sister Tracy's friends) and underclassmen because I was kind of a dork.

Sheena (Postma) Cox

After graduation I went to Dixie for a year and got my certification in Auto Body Refinishing, then moved to Salt Lake to go to business school. That is about the time I started dating my long-time friend and future husband, Shandon Cox.  We dated long-distance for about 9 months before he proposed and I moved back to St. George to get married in June 2003.  We both have Bachelors degrees in Business Administration from Dixie. Our son was born in Feb. 2009 and we are expecting our “oops” in November this year. I love to travel and have done as much as I can, including several months backpacking around Europe, vacations in South Africa, Canada, Mexico and many more. I LOVE discovering the world first hand, especially with my family.

Shan currently works as a Manager at Colorland Power Equipment (the family buisiness) and is also building his own buisness in financial services distribution. I am mostly a stay-home mom, but I have a very part time escape job as a receptionist for an amazing chiropractor. I am also a landlord. (No, we don’t rent a room or a basement.)

As far as good memories from high school… um… I was an idiot in high school and Im pretty sure everyone else was too. (No offense!) The best thing that happened to me in high school was meeting Doug S. And Eric Y. Not only did I find some of the greatest lifelong friends, but among that group of friends I met my BEST friend ever, my wonderful husband!

Melenie (Lloyd) Taylor

After high school I went to DSC and got my associates degree, then transferred to SUU in January 2004 and studied Sociology. It was fun to be out of the house and in the "real world" where rent was $150. :) I loved college and miss it. I hope to go back someday and get another Bachelor's degree that I will actually use. I met my husband Jeff on a blind date. A guy that lived next door asked out my roommate right in front of me and I acted like I was hurt that I wasn't going, so he found me a date. There wasn't a love connection right away, but we were friends. Neither one of us had a job, so we spent a lot of time "hanging out" and got married in November 2004.

After graduation we moved to Salt Lake City (Murray) where Jeff was an assistant hotel manager and I worked at Mountain America CU. We had our first boy, Adam, in February 2008 and our second, Noah, in April 2010. Yes, I have an Adam and a Noah. No, the next one won't be named "Ephraim". I'm lucky to stay at home. Everyday is an adventure and they make me roll my eyes and smile all at the same time. Jeff changed careers 2 days before Noah was born and now commutes to Orem every morning. I love living in the city (I can't believe I used to complain about the traffic in St George) and only miss St George in February.

Oh! My claim to fame is changing Deron Williams' son's diaper! Before I had my second baby I worked part time at a gym daycare that Deron (see how we are on a first-name basis?!) went to. Yes, I'm bragging about changing a diaper.

What do I miss about high school? It was $12 to fill up my junky car. Other than that, I try to block out the memories. The best day of high school was graduation.

Matt Sorensen

Wow!!! Can’t believe it has been 10 years already. Everyone is all married and has a few Kiddos. Well I can say for now that I have dodged those bullets. ha-ha.
So after High School, I worked at Boulevard Home Furnishings and attended DSC. I graduated from DSC with my Associates Degree in Science. In 2003 I Landed a Job with Simmons Mattress Co, covering Southern Arizona. I was the Territory Manger for everything South of Phoenix.  Then in 2005 I was hired on with Broyhill Furniture as a Territory Manager, and moved to Northern Utah, then I was promoted to Cover the Southern and Central California Region for Broyhill. Then I was moved again to Gilbert AZ, and I covered Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. I was just recently promoted again in 2010. I work for Furniture Brands (Company that Own Broyhill Furniture) in St Louis MO, I’m the National Accounts Portfolio Manager for the Broyhill Furniture Brand, I cover Accounts like, Costco, Overstock.com, RC Willey and Sears. So I travel a ton. I think I’m gone 3 weeks out of the month. So if you are at the Salt Lake Airport keep your eyes open for me. I currently live in Sandy UT and I try to get down to St George and see family once a month or more.  I still talk to Allan Monk, Kevin Lund, Nate Whipple and Tyler Owens quite a bit.
I have so many great memories. But the best was getting kicked out of Mr. Snows English class everyday senior year. You may have seen me in the hall during 4th period. Also all the times we went and rode 4 wheelers and went camping, that was a blast. Also working on Tyler’s and Allans 4x4’s, and also my crappy Diamante, which I thought was the BOMB I think that car ended up in a Mexico junk yard LOL. Football games and Basketball games were a blast. I would have to say the best year of High School was my senior year with Brandon Darrington and Jeff Dean pulling stuff behind cars and going down foremaster hill in a red wagon.
